I got my license back in 2016 after completing thousands of supervised sessions with clients. Since then, my goal has been to enhance my skills to serve my clients better. I’ve seen thousands of people since the start of my practice with many incredible results. I like to utilize approaches and techniques that are based on research studies and show results. My additional clinical training consists of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), couple’s therapy (Gottman), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and brainspotting.
Work with Me
In my experience, clients who show more improvement and graduate from therapy with results work hard to achieve their goals. I provide guidance and tailor my interventions depending on the situation presented, how ready you are to work on issues, and my therapy approach. Most of my go-to skills are based on the following therapy methods:
- Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy
- Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
I will pay attention to your past but will concentrate a lot on the here and now experience. While I will be asking questions about your family of origin, I will also be paying attention to the times in which you manage things amazingly well. I will also ask you to involve your whole self in the session, not just your mind. The body speaks in ways the mind can’t comprehend unless we really know how to develop awareness. Expect to be asked to complete assignments or like I prefer to call them “experiments” in-between sessions.
